Rusty ♂ 1 jaar

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 1 year

Rusty was found with Alva and Paco in a completely abandoned area in Bosnia. It was -7 degrees and there was nowhere to find food or water. How cruel can you be. Fortunately, they were found by a kind woman and brought to us. Rusty is a very calm, gentle, sweet, cheerful, playful puppy. Unfortunately, we discovered during the check-up at the vet that his hips were wrong, Rusty has hip dysplasia. He has been operated on both hips by a very good orthopedist and after some more rehabilitation he will be able to live without problems. He can get along with other dogs, cats and big children. He was born in October 2025. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. Rusty is a medium-sized dog of 18 kilos, knee height and will not grow any bigger. He can be admired in a foster home in Hoogeveen.

About Rusty ♂ 1 jaar

What life with Rusty ♂ 1 jaar looks like

Rusty ♂ 1 jaar is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at stichting Idemo in Netherlands.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Rusty ♂ 1 jaar, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Rusty ♂ 1 jaar?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. stichting Idemo handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Rusty ♂ 1 jaar on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Rusty ♂ 1 jaar if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — stichting Idemo will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Rusty ♂ 1 jaar already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Rusty ♂ 1 jaar isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with stichting Idemo early rather than rehoming privately; they know Rusty ♂ 1 jaar and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
