Sabina

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 8 months

Sabina (Saba) is looking for a new home. Sabina, also known as Saba, is 8 years old (born around February 2018). She is a calm, balanced female dog who thrives in quietness, routine, and close human company. At home, she is problem-free – she keeps the house clean, signals when she needs to go outside, doesn’t destroy anything, and remains quiet when left alone at home, sleeping through the entire time. She walks nicely on a leash, loves walks, and car rides. She gets along well with smaller dogs, is initially cautious around larger ones, but if they are positively disposed towards her, she reciprocates. She likes people, is gentle, allows new acquaintances to pet her, but is not pushy and doesn’t tolerate excessive affection. She functions calmly and without problems with children. Her contact with a cat was peaceful from her side. She is healthy, well-groomed, vaccinated against rabies, and protected against fleas and ticks. She has not been spayed (she was declawed during a period when she had an illness). Saba is an ideal companion for someone looking for a calm dog to share life with – not for constant play, but to be by her side. She currently spends a lot of time alone… and very much needs the presence and affection of a human. We are looking for her a home full of peace, patience, and love. Sabina is in Lublin. We are looking for a home for her throughout Poland – we help with organizing transport across the entire country. If you wish to adopt a dog, please fill out the pre-adoption questionnaire. If the application is positively reviewed, we will contact you within 2-3 days. The link is provided below: forms.gle/81xFfK4hvyVBbStM8 Contact: 606x424x534. Sabina (Saba) poszukuje nowego domu. Z dziećmi funkcjonuje spokojnie i bez problemów. Sabina przebywa w Lublinie. About Sabina

What life with Sabina looks like

Sabina is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sabina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sabina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sabina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sabina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sabina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sabina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sabina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
