Sadza

Mixed Breed · Female

Black as a coal Sadza is a young kitten looking for her permanent place in the world. With her golden, sharp eyes, she carefully observes people - from a slight distance, as if wanting to make sure everything is safe. We don't know her past, but the first days in the temporary home showed that people were not always associated with good memories for her. Every, even the smallest step was a big success - leaving from under the desk, walking by the caretaker, the first joint play. Today, the rustling tunnel is one of her favorite attractions, and treats help overcome the next barriers. Sadza is still cautious. She is not a lap cat - sudden movements or loud noises can scare her. But in a calm atmosphere, she shows her true nature: she loves scratching on the back, sometimes has "stupid" spells, during which she chases her own tail, and eagerly hunts strings. She's a very calm, quiet kitten. She doesn't run wild on the furniture - her favorite spot is the desk, from which she can watch everything. In a duo with Krystyna, she can however turn on the play mode and chase endlessly. At the beginning, it happened that she would go outside the litter box, so she needs clean gravel and order on the floor. The problem is currently under control. Sadza is looking for a patient, calm caregiver who will give her time and space to continue opening up. In return, she will give her whole heart - step by step, and each progress will be the most beautiful gift. We are looking for Sadzy a non-exiting, loving, safe home, with a secured balcony (if there is one) and/or windows, which will surround her with the best care. Most preferably for adoption with the sisterly attached Krystyna but it is not a necessary condition. WARNING!

PL·Show original

Dziś szeleszczący tunel to jedna z jej ulubionych atrakcji, a smaczki pomagają przełamywać kolejne bariery. UWAGA! About Sadza

What life with Sadza looks like

Sadza is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Fundacja Stawiamy na Łapy in Poland.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sadza, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sadza?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Stawiamy na Łapy handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sadza on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sadza if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Stawiamy na Łapy will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sadza already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sadza isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Stawiamy na Łapy early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sadza and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
