SAJMON

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 10 years

Simon is a 10-year-old, larger dog weighing around 30 kg who was found wandering around Stalowa Wola. He is now safe, but still waiting for his true, loving home. He is an extremely cuddly and very gentle dog. Despite his size, he is calm, gentle, and very eager for affection. He loves human contact, enjoys snuggling up and walking alongside his owner. He has beautiful, brindle fur, a graying muzzle, and large, erect ears that give him a unique charm. His eyes show wisdom and gratitude. Simon has some vision problems, so he would do best in a quiet home where he feels safe and secure. However, this does not hinder his daily functioning - he is great on walks and very attached to people. Importantly, he gets along well with other dogs, so he can easily live with a canine companion. We are looking for a responsible, loving family to show him that he will never have to wander again.

PL·Show original

About SAJMON

What life with SAJMON looks like

SAJMON is a large senior mixed breed dog waiting at Stalowowolskie Stowarzyszenie Opieki nad Zwierzętami in Poland.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting SAJMON, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about SAJMON?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Stalowowolskie Stowarzyszenie Opieki nad Zwierzętami handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw SAJMON on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt SAJMON if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Stalowowolskie Stowarzyszenie Opieki nad Zwierzętami will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is SAJMON already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if SAJMON isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Stalowowolskie Stowarzyszenie Opieki nad Zwierzętami early rather than rehoming privately; they know SAJMON and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
