Our animal welfare workers report: Salome had great fortune in misfortune. The young female dog was seen lying on the roadside by an animal rescuer on their way home in the evening. It was a heartbreaking sight; the injured female dog could not stand, lying on its side and clearly in great pain (see video). The animal rescuer did not hesitate and managed, despite the difficulty, to transport the severely injured animal to an animal clinic in their car. There, the veterinarians determined that the pelvis was broken. Due to the lack of financial resources, the furry nose was not operated on, and the doctors prescribed that the injured female dog lie quietly for two weeks after X-rays and pain medication. However, Salome had strong guardian angels, and after a few days, the furry nose could stand and walk again. In the current photos, one can hardly see that Salome walks differently. There is no limitation, contrary to what was initially expected due to the pelvis fracture diagnosis. Salome no longer requires special care due to the accident, walking also goes well, and she plays very much! Salome would likely have died on the street, exposed to the elements, unable to obtain food, and without pain medication, her fate would likely have been cruelly sealed. Through medical care, which, although better in Germany than in Romania, still enabled her to physically and mentally recover and to lead a pain-free life so far without any noticeable limitations. It is currently assumed that the pelvis has healed very well on its own. In the long term, a physiotherapy approach might be a suitable, accompanying approach to best support the brave Salome in her new home. We are looking for a loving, more quiet home for Salome. Update 13.03.2026: New photos and videos. A club colleague was on site and reports: Salome is a gentle and curious female dog. She allowed herself to be stroked carefully and gently and observed everything with calm attention. Beschreibung Unsere Tierschützer berichten: Salome hatte großes Glück im Unglück. Die Junghündin ist von einer Tierschützerin im Auto auf dem Nachhauseweg gegen Abend am Straßenrand liegend gesehen worden. Es war ein Bild des Jammers, die verletzte Hündin konnte nicht mehr aufstehen, sie lag auf der Seite und litt offensichtlich starke Schmerzen (siehe Video). Die Tierschützerin fackelte nicht lange und schaffte es, was nicht einfach war, das schwer verletzte Tier in ihrem Auto in eine Tierklinik zu fahren. Dort stellten die Tierärzte fest, dass das Becken gebrochen war. Da die finanziellen Mittel fehlten, wurde die Pelznase nicht operiert und die Ärzte verordneten der geschundenen Hündin, nach dem Röntgen und der Verabreichung von Schmerzmitteln, zwei Wochen lang ruhig zu liegen. Doch Salome hatte starke Schutzengel, die ihr nochmals gewogen waren, nach einigen Tagen konnte die Fellnase wieder aufstehen und immerhin gehen. Im Gangbild sieht man kaum noch, dass Salome anders spaziert. Es gibt keine Einschränkung, wie zunächst aufgrund der Diagnose des Beckenbruchs erwartet hätte werden können. Salome benötigt keine besondere Pflege mehr aufgrund des Unfalls, spazieren geht auch gut und sie spielt sehr gerne! Salome wäre wahrscheinlich auf der Straße gestorben, denn unbeweglich den Witterungsbedingungen ausgesetzt, unfähig Futter zu erlangen und ohne Schmerzmittel wäre ihr Schicksal vermutlich grausam besiegelt gewesen. Durch die medizinische Versorgung, die sicherlich in Deutschland zwar wahrscheinlich noch besser gewesen wäre als in Rumänien, wurde ihr dennoch ermöglicht, sich körperlich und seelisch gut zu erholen und jetzt ein normales, schmerzfreies Leben zu führen, bislang ohne erkennbare Einschränkung. Aktuell geht man davon aus, dass das Becken sehr gut von alleine wieder zusammengewachsen ist. Vielleicht ist im neuen Zuhause mittelfristig eine Physiotherapie ein möglicher, begleitender Ansatz, um die tapfere Salome bestmöglich zu unterstützen. Für Salome suchen wir ein liebevolles, eher ruhiges Zuhause. Update13.03.2026 neue Fotos, Videos. Eine Vereins-Kollegin war vor Ort und berichtet folgendes: Salome ist eine sanfte und neugierige Hündin. Sie ließ sich vorsichtig und behutsam streicheln und beobachtete alles mit ruhiger Aufmerksamkeit.
