Sam & Lynette

Male · Young · 3 years

Sam and Lynette are two beings deeply bonded, inseparable companions rescued together, who share far more than a past: a truly devoted relationship built on protection, tenderness and loyalty. Sam, the male, is a dog of remarkable courage. A survivor of canine distemper, he still carries a visible reminder of it today: a distinctive gait that bears witness to his fight and his strength. This uniqueness in no way diminishes his joy of living or his capacity to love. At his side, Lynette, his sister, is constantly watching over him. Protective and attentive, she makes sure he is safe, keeps an eye on his meals and always stays close to him. Their bond is deeply touching. Lynette is his anchor, his guardian, and together they form an inseparable pair. Very sociable, Sam and Lynette are used to living surrounded by others. They get along perfectly with dogs, cats and children. Present and close to people, they enjoy companionship, moments of affection and everyday interaction. Accustomed to living freely, they will need a home offering space, where they can move about together in complete peace. Their balance depends on their bond, which is why they must absolutely be adopted together. Sam and Lynette are two wonderful dogs, deeply endearing, cuddly, playful and very gentle. Offering them a home means welcoming a double love, sincere and rare. They are now waiting for a family able to love them as they are, together, for life.

FR·Show original

About Sam & Lynette

What life with Sam & Lynette looks like

Sam & Lynette is a medium-sized young adult dog waiting at Nos Amis Pour La Vie Europe in France.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sam & Lynette, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sam & Lynette?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Nos Amis Pour La Vie Europe handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sam & Lynette on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sam & Lynette if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Nos Amis Pour La Vie Europe will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Sam & Lynette already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sam & Lynette isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Nos Amis Pour La Vie Europe early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sam & Lynette and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
