Sam hat über 9 Jahre hinter Gittern gesessen und kam in einem sehr erbärmlichen Zustand in Deutschland an. Nach einigen Wochen auf seiner Pflegestelle ist er frisch geschoren und alle Baustellen sind beseitigt. Jetzt, wo er schmerzfrei ist, beginnt er sein Leben in vollen Zügen zu genießen. Sein Fell ist mittlerweile auch schön zurückgewachsen. Sams Verhalten lässt stark vermuten, dass Herdenschutzhunde-Gene in ihm stecken. Er kann manchmal etwas eigensinnig und ein kleiner Sturkopf sein. Er zeigt sich grundsätzlich lieb mit Menschen (sympathie-entscheidend) und ist futtermotiviert. Insgesamt ist Sam ein echter Schatz. Er passt gut auf, ist gelehrig und möchte einfach nur gefallen. Da er allergische Reaktionen zeigte, die auf eine Grasmilben-Allergie hinweisen (starker Juckreiz, tierärztliche Untersuchung folgt), bekommt er regelmäßig Tabletten. Er zeigt dank dieser guten Einstellung keinerlei Probleme mehr und ist ein lebensfroher Senior. Vor allem geht er wahnsinnig gerne spazieren. Wir wünschen uns für Sam hundeerfahrene Menschen mit liebevoll-konsequenter Führung. Kinder im neuen Zuhause sind möglich, sollten aber schon ein wenig älter (standfest) und entsprechend respektvoll gegenüber Hunden sein. Er ist sehr sozial mit Artgenossen. Sam lebt derzeit mit zwei großen Rüden und einer kleinen Hündin zusammen und es klappt hervorragend. Wir könnten uns aber auch vorstellen, dass er als Einzelprinz zuhause glücklich werden könnte, sofern man ihm genügend Liebe und Aufmerksamkeit schenkt. Die Verträglichkeit mit Katzen konnte leider noch nicht getestet werden, aber wir vermuten, dass es keine Probleme geben würde.
