Over 150 puppies in the public shelter Botosani ‼️ Rain, cold, overcrowding – and a lot of hope for a better life In the public shelter in Botosani (Romania), an exceptional state prevails: over 150 small puppy souls are there, crammed together, freezing and wet. Continuous rain, icy nights, little protection – this can be life-threatening for puppies. That's why we have no time for long individual presentations – it's about the whole situation. Quick help saves lives. 💫 One of these little fighters is SANDY, around 4 months old, with a heartwarming look, a curious nose, and a big wish for a secure place in life. She will grow to be medium-sized – but her wish for a secure place in life is huge. ✨ Happy ending? Very much so! SANDY looks forward to a dog bed full of love, with a cuddle blanket included. SANDY brings everything a real puppy can: 🐾 a toy-destroying enthusiast with passion, 🐾 a fitness trainer with an integrated movement sensor, 🐾 a heartbreaker, shredder machine, clown, comfort provider – and sometimes also a little troublemaker with a big heart. But I'll tell you the truth (and with a wink): 🐾 puppies are not house-trained, 🐾 they can't be left alone yet, 🐾 and they will initially turn your life upside down – with puddles, peeing, and cardboard remnants. But I can promise you one thing: no matter if I'm a safe distance heart, a little rascal, or something in between – I will initially whirl your life into a frenzy. Whether gentle or temperamental – I am ready for my adventure. Are YOU ready for yours?📦 All puppies travel: ✅ dewormed multiple times ✅ vaccinated ✅ microchipped ✅ treated for fleas ✅ with EU pet passport ✅ with official trace papers ✅ rehomed through TNH Casa Katharina e. V. (including 📩 contact: or simply on FB via PM.

About Sandy (w)

What life with Sandy (w) looks like

Sandy (w) is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. in Nürnberg.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sandy (w), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sandy (w)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sandy (w) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sandy (w) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sandy (w) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sandy (w) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sandy (w) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
