Sára

Female · Senior · 14 years

3.2.2026 Sára is back, did not get along with a female dog in a home environment, so she is suitable as an only pet, although the problem was apparently more on the side of the other female dog, Sára was otherwise very nice, so perhaps she will get another chance... 31.1.2026 - Sárinka went to a new home with a wonderful lady who decided to take care of Sárinka and do everything in her power for her. We are keeping our fingers crossed that everything goes well and Sára can enjoy her dream home for a long time... Beautiful and very kind female dog lost her home after her owner passed away. For some time, the family tried to solve it by coming to see the female dog and feeding her, but this was not sustainable long-term, so she ended up with us. She is calm, friendly, sees worse and her teeth deserve care, but otherwise she is doing well and we will surely find her a new home soon.

CS·Show original

About Sára

What life with Sára looks like

Sára is a small senior dog waiting at Útulek Zlín-Vršava in Zlín-Zlín 12.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇨🇿Adopting from Czech Republic

Czech shelters (útulky) include sterilization, vaccinations, and microchip ID. The adopter signs a written contract (smlouva) — the shelter may follow up to verify wellbeing.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sára, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sára?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Útulek Zlín-Vršava handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sára on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sára if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Útulek Zlín-Vršava will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sára already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sára isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Útulek Zlín-Vršava early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sára and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (CS). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
