Savana – Zuhause gefunden

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 5 years

Female, located in Romania (Caracal), born approximately March 2021. Disability: none. Character: shy towards people, social (not a solitary cat). Additional information: already tested negative for FIV and FeLV using a rapid test. A cautious hello! I'm Savana - that's how they call me since I was rescued. Before that, I had no name, I was a nameless cat who had to survive on the streets and probably didn't have the best experiences so far. I lived with my kittens in front of a restaurant, as I sometimes found something to eat there and could survive, but because I disturbed the place, as they didn't want us to stay there, the animal rescuer Dana was called, as they threatened to "get rid of" us if we weren't taken away. Dana came immediately and took us with her. Since I don't know what it's like when a person takes a lot of time for me and shows me that humans and human hands can be wonderful things (Dana has too many cats and therefore cannot focus so much on me alone), I am still shy and a bit fearful. My adopters say I need a person who understands and takes the time to show me that a shared life can be something truly wonderful. Even though I've heard many such stories, I still can't quite believe that you can really sleep relaxed on the stomach of such a big person? After my kittens were old enough, I was spayed. I was very brave at the vet, tested negative for FIV and FeLV using a rapid test, and I'm already ready to travel, which means I am vaccinated against feline flu, feline panleukopenia, and rabies, have a microchip and my own EU pet passport, so I can actually start the big journey that hopefully promises me a great future full of love, happiness, and understanding. Now only you are missing! Maybe you could fall in love with me and give me the chance to become a confident female cat?. This animal is microchipped.

Geschlecht: weiblich Aufenthaltsort. Melde dich gerne, deine Savana

About Savana – Zuhause gefunden

What life with Savana – Zuhause gefunden looks like

Savana – Zuhause gefunden is a large adult mixed breed cat waiting at Seelenkatzen e.V. in Barsinghausen.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Savana – Zuhause gefunden, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Savana – Zuhause gefunden?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Seelenkatzen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Savana – Zuhause gefunden on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Savana – Zuhause gefunden if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Seelenkatzen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Savana – Zuhause gefunden already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Savana – Zuhause gefunden isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Seelenkatzen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Savana – Zuhause gefunden and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
