Selena

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 5 months

adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! Selena has found a home! 26810 Westoverledingen. Selena is in her foster home waiting for you! Her story: Bistrita, Romania. Selena, her siblings Raue, Anneli, Karlo, Lottie, and their mother were surrendered because their previous owner left the country. The puppies had the great fortune to be able to stay with a private foster family and thus avoid the loud stress of the shelter. Now the five of them are on the hunt for a cozy forever home! Selena will grow to be a small but especially cute little girl dog. With her black fur, floppy ears, and little snout, one can't help but fall in love with the little dog. Additionally, the 2.5-month-old Selena is an open, cheerful, and curious female dog. Puppy-like, she inspects everything, wags her tail to greet people, and plays a lot with her siblings. As she behaves, one might think: Selina is blissfully happy. However, what the little mouse longs for most is to move into a cozy dog bed with her new heart person. Since Selena is still a baby and doesn't know anything yet, she is looking for people who don't expect anything from her at first. Instead, she would like someone by her side who can patiently and lovingly learn the dog ABCs with her. Additionally, the little one still has puberty ahead, a time when young dogs often test boundaries and have a few ideas in their heads. If Selena is stood by with consistent but loving guidance during this time, she definitely has the potential to develop into a loyal lifelong companion. The little one would also be very happy about the opportunity to attend puppy or dog training classes. After positive Selena will naturally be microchipped, dewormed, and equipped with an EU pet passport to fully start her new life. A loving foster home would also make the little one very happy. Has Selena managed to make your heart beat a little faster? We look forward to your inquiry! Many thanks, Dora A.! You have given Selena her name!

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Selena hat ihr Zuhause gefunden! 26810 Westoverledingen. Vielen Dank Dora A.! Du hast Selena ihren Namen geschenkt!

About Selena

What life with Selena looks like

Selena is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Selena, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Selena?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Selena on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Selena if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Selena already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Selena isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Selena and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
