adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Seppal can stay forever in his foster home! 81476 München. Seppal is waiting in his foster home in Munich for you! His story: Baia Mare, Romania. Who has the most charming smile in the entire shelter? We find that it's Seppal! Currently, Seppal is housed in the overcrowded shelter in Baia Mare. But of course, this is not a good place for a young, lively dog, as it is intolerably loud, dirty, and cold. Our hardworking staff are doing their best and are constantly occupied with feeding the homeless dogs, but unfortunately, there's not enough time for cuddles and mental stimulation. That's why we hope very much to find loving people for Eppal who will take him in and stay by his side, showing him how wonderful life as a house dog can be. With a shoulder height of about 50 cm and a weight of around 17 kg, Seppal is considered a medium-sized dog. He has medium-length, curly, blonde fur, friendly black eyes, and playful, pointy ears. With a bright expression, he looks directly into the camera, and everyone immediately sees that he is a proud and lively dog. We don't want to witness how his cheerful character suffers in the monotonous and harsh shelter life and how his enthusiasm for life fades! Seppal is about 3 years old and thus in the best age for a dog. He is friendly and lively, gets along well with fellow animals, and has his whole life ahead of him. The young male dog therefore fits perfectly into any active and dog-loving family. It is assumed that Seppal has not yet experienced life in a house. Leash walking, house training, and the behavior rules for a well-mannered house dog are all equally unfamiliar to him. But we are sure that the clever fellow will quickly learn the whole dog 1×1 if he is trained patiently and lovingly. After the adjustment period, a visit to a positively working dog training class would contribute to Seppal's self-confidence, strengthen his bond with his new people, and keep him both physically and mentally stimulated. We wish for Seppal patient and loving adopters who will give him enough time to settle in and adapt to his new living situation. Cuddles and plenty of mental stimulation with the young male dog, as well as a cozy spot and sufficient contact with fellow animals, will surely help him find his way in his new life. Seppal travels neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas with an EU pet passport to his new home. We would also be very happy to have a foster home for the handsome and cheerful fellow. Many thanks, dear Lis! You have given the sweet Seppal his name and thus a personal identity.

About Seppal

What life with Seppal looks like

Seppal is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Seppal, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Seppal?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Seppal on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Seppal if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Seppal already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Seppal isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Seppal and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
