adoption requirements adoption process Adopt now this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Seren will stay forever in her foster home! Seren can travel to her foster home by the end of November! Her story: Baia Mare, Romania. Our beautiful Seren! She eagerly waits in the public shelter Baia Mare for her people to show her how wonderful life is! Seren is an approximately 4-year-old female dog, with a perfect size of 45 cm and 18 kg. Currently, Seren is shy but can be gently touched. During our last visit, we even took her out of the enclosure and took beautiful pictures of her. But her eyes speak volumes… Seren shares the public shelter with at least 500 other dogs. There are simply too many here and not enough people giving these poor souls the attention they so desperately need. The next winter is approaching, and we hope very much that Seren finds a loving foster or permanent home before then. So far, Seren has been denied a natural life. She doesn’t know what that is and has lost trust in people. Therefore, she is looking for sensitive people who will show her that it’s worth trusting two-legged beings. An important aspect is a positive training style, because Seren has suffered enough in her life. She will surely sense when she is in a protected environment and make the necessary progress. How fast that happens and how long Seren needs, we don’t know. But with patience and finesse, she will develop. Setbacks should not demotivate – that is completely normal. People who have a lot of time for Seren, live in the countryside, and have a quiet home without much commotion would be perfect for her. Seren travels neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas to her new home and is allowed to bring her EU pet passport with her after a positive. An experienced foster home would be a springboard into a new life! Do you show Seren how wonderful life is? Many thanks! dear anonymous godmother! Thanks to you, Seren has her wonderful name and thus an identity. With love, Katharina O.! You support Seren with a monthly sponsorship. As of 23.07.

Lieben Dank Katharina O.! Du unterstützt Seren mit einer monatlichen Patenschaft. Stand: 23.07.2023

About Seren

What life with Seren looks like

Seren is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Seren, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Seren?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Seren on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Seren if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Seren already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Seren isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Seren and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
