Shayce

Labrador Retriever · Male · Adult · 4 years

He was adopted with us last year, unfortunately the adopters are in a complex situation and had no other choice but to bring him back. Shayce is not at fault. He is a cute little guy, full of love for humans. He has lived with children of all ages. He is very energetic and will need long walks in nature every day. The leash and lead walking lessons will need to be revisited, as he is not very responsive to the person at the end of it right now! He is social with his own species of animals and will need to meet them regularly to fulfill his very present need for interactions. He tends to present himself in a rather frontal and quick manner, which is not always pleasing to the dogs in front, so he will need to be managed on this point. Shayce cannot live with a cat. If you are interested, you can send us a motivated request by email: We must be contacted IMPERATIVELY before traveling to the our area, thank you! Shayce is a 3-year-old mixed Labrador and Braque, born on April 1, 2022, identified and vaccinated.

About Shayce

What life with Shayce looks like

Shayce is a large adult labrador retriever dog waiting at 30 Millions d'Amis in Paris.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Shayce, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Shayce?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. 30 Millions d'Amis handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Shayce on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Shayce if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — 30 Millions d'Amis will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Shayce already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Shayce isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with 30 Millions d'Amis early rather than rehoming privately; they know Shayce and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
