His story: When Sheeran was found on the roadside, it was clear that he had a tough life. He was emaciated and sick. The vet diagnosed him with bilateral, chronic middle ear infection with vestibular syndrome. He had to undergo an operation with full removal of the left ear canal, but fortunately, he recovered very well and Sheeran has blossomed since then. The only drawback that remains: Due to the loss of hearing in his left ear, he tilts his head occasionally. But overall, Sheeran can live with this and has no further impairments. In his foster home, he loves to take naps on fluffy blankets, snuggle, and his favorite is to roll around with his toys. Sheeran’s years of loneliness have not hardened him; on the contrary, he is a very affectionate tomcat and regularly comes to get cuddles. However, he does not miss life on the street, so he will not be rehomed as an outdoor cat. Of course, he would be happy with a secure balcony to watch birds. Sheeran can travel at any time and is then, like all our cats and tomcats, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Seine Geschichte: Als Sheeran am Straßenrand gefunden wurde, war klar, dass er kein leichtes Leben hatte. Er war ausgehungert und krank. Der Tierarzt diagnostizierte bei ihm eine beidseitige, chronische Mittelohrentzündung mit Vestibularsyndrom. Er musste sich einer Operation mit vollständiger Gehörgangsentfernung am linken Ohr unterziehen, aber glücklicherweise erholte er sich sehr gut und Sheeran blüht seitdem regelrecht auf. Einziges Manko das bleibt: Durch den fehlenden Gehörgang ist er am linken Ohr taub und hält entsprechend seinen Kopf immer mal wieder schief. Aber insgesamt kann Sheeran damit gut leben und hat keine weiteren Beeinträchtigungen. In seiner Pflegestelle liebt er es auf flauschigen Decken ein Nickerchen zu machen, zu kuscheln und am liebsten wälzt er sich mit seinen Spielsachen herum. Sheerans jahrelange Einsamkeit hat ihn nicht erhärtet, im Gegenteil, er ist ein sehr liebevoller Kater und kommt regelmäßig, um sich Streicheleinheiten zu holen. Das Leben auf der Straße vermisst er jedoch nicht, weshalb er nicht als Freigänger vermittelt wird. Natürlich würde er sich über einen gesicherten Balkon freuen, um Vögel beobachten zu können. Sheeran kann jederzeit ausreisen und ist dann, wie all unsere Katzen und Kater, kastriert, gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt, entfloht und wurde negativ auf FIV und FeLV getestet. Einen EU-Heimtierausweis hat er ebenfalls im Gepäck und kann nach einer positiven Vorkontrolle und gegen eine Schutzgebühr in Höhe von 250 Euro in ihr neues Zuhause ziehen.
