adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Shera has found her people! Her story: Shera does not give up hope of finding a soul connection on two legs – are you it?! If you look into Shera's sad eyes, you are already won over, we are sure. The dreamy little puppy is currently in the care of our animal welfare worker Paul in Bistrita and is safe. But she has not yet found her heart's people, where she belongs completely and can finally feel what it means to be a beloved family dog. With her bright golden fur and cute floppy ears, Shera really looks adorable. She appears very delicate with her slender legs, like a little elf. When she grows up, she will be about medium-sized. Shera is only 8 months old, so not quite a puppy anymore, but also not fully grown yet. She has her whole life ahead of her, and she would love to share it with you and accompany you. Shera has a charming nature and is grateful for every affection you show her. One must not forget that Shera is still on the way to becoming an adult. A puppy learns many things very quickly, but during puberty, everything is often forgotten. It helps to guide the little wild thing with a lot of patience, love, and a touch of humor and not to lose your temper. Shera will still have to learn a lot to become a salon-worthy little puppy. She does not know how to walk on a leash yet, and walks are still foreign to her. House training, recall, and her own name – she will understand these things with your help and patient guidance over time. Let professional dog trainers or dog schools, which are familiar with four-legged friends from animal welfare, help you. With calmness, heart warmth, and positive consequences, trust is created, and Shera can relax and understand the dog ABC. So, a deep friendship develops between you that will bind you for a dog's lifetime. What might Shera have experienced? We will never know. But if you want to give the pretty girl with the sad eyes a chance at a warm spot in your midst, please contact us through the website and get in touch with us. She would also be very happy about a spot in a foster home. Shea is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. Thank you, dear Taiara, for giving Shea her name and thus her identity. As of November 22.

Was mag Shera alles erlebt haben? Stand: 22.11.2024

About Shera

What life with Shera looks like

Shera is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Shera, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Shera?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Shera on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Shera if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Shera already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Shera isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Shera and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
