SHIRAN

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 4 months

Shiran is an approximately 4-year-old, incredibly charming dog weighing around 30 kg whose calm and warm gaze can disarm anyone. This beautiful, dignified boy has shiny black fur that glistens in the sun. He has wise, kind brown eyes, droopy ears, and a friendly face where a wide, doggy smile with his tongue out often appears. Shiran is strong but also elegant and full of grace. He's a true canine treasure - a classic sweetheart with a Labrador-like character. He's calm, well-behaved, and just... very good dog. This is the kind of companion that makes you feel better instantly. He doesn't seek trouble, doesn't scheme, doesn't misbehave - he values human closeness and time spent together. On walks, he behaves perfectly. He walks nicely on a leash, doesn't pull, and with great interest explores the world. He likes to stop to sniff interesting smells but remains focused on his owner at all times. Shiran enjoys maintaining contact with humans, pays attention to their cues, and happily cooperates. A walk with Shiran is a real pleasure - calm, relaxing, and full of shared moments. This dog loves being close to people. Petting, walks together, resting next to his beloved person - that's what brings him the most joy. He's very intelligent and quickly learns what humans expect from him. He enjoys cooperating because he really wants contact and praise. Shiran is a type of dog who wants to be part of the family and wholeheartedly strives to be his owner's best friend. Shiran has everything you could want in a loyal canine companion - gentleness, composure, a huge heart, and wonderful character. He doesn't need big attractions to be happy. All he needs is a loving person with whom he can share everyday life, walks, and quiet evenings. If you dream of a dog who will be a faithful friend, devoted companion, and bring lots of warmth into your home, Shiran is waiting for you. Give him a chance and you'll gain the best friend for years to come.

About SHIRAN

What life with SHIRAN looks like

SHIRAN is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting SHIRAN, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about SHIRAN?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw SHIRAN on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt SHIRAN if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is SHIRAN already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if SHIRAN isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know SHIRAN and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
