Our English Bulldog female Shorty came to us as part of a seizure. She was born around January 2017. Currently she weighs 20 kg. Shorty initially approaches strangers with skepticism and reserve. Once trust is established, she shows loyalty towards her caregiver. She tends to defend her people when she believes it's necessary or if she decides to intervene herself. Here, confident and experienced individuals are needed who can give her clear boundaries and guidance. Currently, there is no reliable information about her behavior towards other dogs. There is still a lot to be done in terms of her upbringing. Bulldog typical, Shorty brings a substantial stubbornness with her and knows how to use her strong body to her advantage, for example during walks when she prefers to follow her own plan. We are looking for a home for Shorty with people who know the special characteristics of the breed or are willing to engage intensively with them. Shorty is an English Bulldog with the breed-typical problem areas that her future owners should be aware of and take into account. Particularly her eyes, joints, and skin require attention. It is also suspected that she may have allergies and will need hypoallergenic food on a permanent basis. Her eyes are likely to require lifelong care with eye drops and ointments.

Unsere Englische Bulldoggen Dame Shorty kam im Rahmen einer Sicherstellung zu uns. Sie wurde ungefähr im Januar 2017 geboren. Aktuell wiegt sie 20 kg. Fremden Menschen begegnet Shorty zunächst skeptisch und zurückhaltend. Hat sie jedoch Vertrauen gefasst, zeigt sie sich ihrer Bezugsperson gegenüber loyal. Dabei neigt sie dazu, ihre Menschen zu verteidigen, wenn sie der Meinung ist, dass es nötig ist oder wenn sie selbst entscheidet, dass sie eingreifen möchte. Hier sind souveräne und erfahrene Menschen gefragt, die ihr klare Grenzen und Orientierung geben. Über ihr Verhalten gegenüber Artgenossen liegen derzeit keine verlässlichen Informationen vor. Auch in ihrer Erziehung gibt es noch einiges nachzuholen. Bulldoggen typisch bringt Shorty einen ordentlichen Dickkopf mit und weiß ihren kräftigen Körper durchaus zu ihrem Vorteil einzusetzen, zum Beispiel beim Gassigehen, wenn sie lieber ihren eigenen Plan verfolgt. Für Shorty wünschen wir uns ein Zuhause bei Menschen, die die Besonderheiten der Rasse kennen oder bereit sind, sich intensiv damit auseinanderzusetzen. Shorty ist eine Englische Bulldogge mit den rassetypischen Baustellen, die ihre zukünftigen Menschen kennen und berücksichtigen sollten. Besonders ihre Augen, Gelenke und ihre Haut benötigen Aufmerksamkeit. Zudem wird vermutet, dass sie Allergikerin ist und dauerhaft auf hypoallergenes Futter angewiesen sein wird.
