But give me some time, and I will reward you with purring, snuggling, and plenty of time on your lap. In the meantime, you might not see much of me, but I think about you a lot! My name is Siena...and I live under a blanket or a rug. There it is quiet. There I feel safe. I am not a cat who hisses or scratches. If you pet me, I will let you. Even being lifted is okay for me, for example, when I need to go into a box. I am not afraid of people – I am afraid of the world. Of noises, of changes, of too much closeness at once. Maybe one day I will come out of my hiding place. Maybe not. No one can promise that today. What I wish for is no pressure, no expectations, and no "she must come out eventually." I need a very quiet home, many hiding spots, soft places, and people who will give me time – a lot of time. Time to just be there. Or to be invisible. Aber gib mir ein wenig Zeit und ich werde dich mit Schnurren, Anschmiegen und reichlich Zeit auf deinem Schoß belohnen. Bis dahin kann es sein, dass du nicht viel von mir siehst, aber ich denke oft an dich! Ich heiße Siena...und ich lebe unter einer Decke oder einem Teppich. Dort ist es ruhig. Dort fühle ich mich sicher. Ich bin keine Katze, die faucht oder kratzt. Wenn man mich streichelt, lasse ich es zu. Auch hochheben ist für mich okay, zum Beispiel wenn ich in eine Box muss. Ich habe keine Angst vor Menschen – ich habe Angst vor der Welt. Vor Geräuschen, vor Veränderungen, vor zu viel Nähe auf einmal. Vielleicht werde ich eines Tages aus meinem Versteck kommen. Vielleicht auch nicht. Das kann heute niemand versprechen. Was ich mir wünsche, ist kein Druck, keine Erwartungen und kein „sie muss doch irgendwann“. Ich brauche ein sehr ruhiges Zuhause, viele Verstecke, weiche Plätze und Menschen, die mir Zeit schenken – ganz viel Zeit. Zeit, einfach da zu sein. Oder unsichtbar zu sein. Wenn du mir ein warmes, kuscheliges Zuhause geben kannst, ohne etwas zurückzuverlangen, dann könnte ich bei dir ankommen. Vielleicht leise. Vielleicht langsam. Vielleicht nur ein kleines bisschen.
