Temperament: Siena is a female dog very delicate and compliant, although she has made great progress and for people she knows and trusts is a completely different dog. An important aspect of her personality is that she is deaf. This surely affects her perception of the world and interaction. She cannot be called back - even on a leash, one must exercise considerable caution and control safety. She loves contact with humans, constantly glances and observes. She likes touch and seeks it from humans, waiting for support and pats. It would also be helpful to train emotional calming: when she experiences something, she can become excited. Siena is a beloved companion, and walks with her are a pleasant time. She allows herself to be led with a harness and collar, and enjoys having her neck rubbed. She is a bit afraid of new spaces in the building and crossing doors for the first time (for example, new rooms, glass reflections) can be difficult. It is possible that the lack of hearing sense also affects her uncertainty. On walks she sniffs a lot, turns around, is happy - she handles the forest very well, but the street at the animal shelter is stressful. Initially this was a huge problem for her, but now she handles known street areas very well and follows a trusted caregiver willingly (although busy traffic and large cars are still difficult and stressful for her). We recommend her for a quiet home that accepts her shyness and helps her gain confidence. There is absolutely no aggression in her, but the female dog will need support in exploring the world - not by force, but at her own pace.

Usposobienie: Siena to suczka bardzo delikatna i uległa, chociaż zrobiła ogromny postęp i dla osób, które zna i ufa jest zupełnie innym psem. Ważnym aspektem jej osobowości jest to, że nie słyszy. To na pewno wpływa na jej odbiór świata i kontakt. Nie da się jej odwołać – nawet na smyczy należy zachować sporą ostrożność i kontrolować bezpieczeństwo. Kontakt z człowiekiem jednak kocha, ciągle zerka i obserwuje. Lubi dotyk i poszukuje go u człowieka, czeka na wsparcie i głaski. Na pewno przyda się też ćwiczenie uspakajania emocji: gdy coś przeżywa potrafi być pobudzona. Siena jest kochanym towarzyszem i spacery z nią to przyjemny czas. Daje sobie założyć szelki i obróżkę, pomasować szyjkę. Nieco boi się nowych przestrzeni w budynku i przekraczanie drzwi po raz pierwszy (np. nowe pomieszczenia, jakieś szklane odbicia) może być trudne. Możliwe, że brak zmysłu słuchu też wpływa na jej niepewność. Na spacerze dużo wącha, kręci się, jest radosna – w lesie radzi sobie super, ale ulica przy schronisku jest stresująca. Początkowo był to dla niej ogromny problem obecnie radzi sobie świetnie w znanych ulicznych miejscach i podążą chętnie za zaufanym opiekunem(chociaż spory ruch i duże auta nadal są dla niej trudne i stresujące). Polecamy do spokojnego domu, który zaakceptuje jej nieśmiałość i pomoże jej w zdobyciu pewności siebie. Nie ma w niej zupełnie agresji, ale sunia będzie potrzebować wsparcia w poznawaniu świata – nie na siłę, a we własnym tempie.
