Siggi ***nicht zur Vermittlung freigegeben***

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 9 years

Siggi was born around 2017. The Hollandse Herdershond is an example of a dog who was made into an "Unmanageable" by human hands. The Hollandse Herdershond is aggressive and advances offensively. At his previous owner, Siggi had to endure a lot. The 5-year-old male dog was made submissive at the age of 6 months with an electric shock collar and was last confined to the basement, where he lay in his own feces and urine. There, he was seized by the veterinary authorities and brought to the animal shelter Haßberge. Whether he can ever leave is very unlikely. Despite intensive training, the caretakers often reach their limits. – But we will not give up on Siggi. Update April 2025: Update March 2025: Siggi – an involuntary update Sometimes we believe we have all the time in the world and are painfully brought back to reality in an instant – yet we do not want to withhold such news from you…all the information can be found directly in the video. Update December 2024: Update October 2024: Siggi the Striver Update May 16, 2024: We do not want to rest on our laurels, so we practice daily. – This summary has become a bit longer, but we could not bring ourselves to cut out this beautiful scene. Update February 29, 2024: Here are two small videos of Siggi having fun during training. Update January 19, 2024: An exciting year with Siggi🐶 A lot of training, many tears, many setbacks, but a lot of successes. So much can be said, Siggi and Britta are now a dream team. Siggi is so inquisitive and works top-notch. Muzzle training in the room and in the large run already works almost perfectly💪 The nice thing is when he is really happy about snow, affection, and his toys, the video will come. What am I talking about, just watch for yourself, here is a small excerpt from the past months. Update January 31, 2023: Siggi is making progress😀 Today, Britta could take off the collar without him going forward. He was puzzled, what is going on here? She just touched him, but he stayed chill. Even though it's only a small step forward, but we feel like he's really here now🐶🐶🐶 It doesn't mean it will work. But it proves, yes, we will keep going, we will not give up on Siggi💪 👍 UPDATE: December 16, 2023: We regularly post new clips on our YouTube channel (link below). Here you can stay informed about Siggi's development. The latest clip is also available here. Of course, there will be setbacks again – we will report on these as well. Here is a small video at Siggi's arrival. And here is a small video about small successes with Siggi. Currently, you can also see our fur babies live on Twitch or YouTube on weekends. DE·Show original

Frequently asked

Adopting Siggi ***nicht zur Vermittlung freigegeben***, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Siggi ***nicht zur Vermittlung freigegeben***?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Hassberge handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Siggi ***nicht zur Vermittlung freigegeben*** on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Siggi ***nicht zur Vermittlung freigegeben*** if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Hassberge will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Siggi ***nicht zur Vermittlung freigegeben*** already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Siggi ***nicht zur Vermittlung freigegeben*** isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Hassberge early rather than rehoming privately; they know Siggi ***nicht zur Vermittlung freigegeben*** and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
