Do you want Silver to be part of your life? Ask us about him and we'll tell you how to adopt him. Thanks! 11-02-2.026 Updated on Silver. No one has claimed him, so we understand he's an abandoned cat and we've moved him to the "Looking for adoption" section. SILIVER is very calm and affectionate. Do you want to help him? Ask us and we'll provide the information for his adoption. 24-01-2.026 Found Roman orange cat! Looking for his owners. This cat appeared early in the week in the area of Plaza Antonete Gálvez in Torreagüera. Desperate, he was looking for shelter under the doorways of buildings, houses, and garages. Finally, he ended up locked in one of the garages, meowing desolately when he heard we were near the door. We alerted the community president, and the cat quickly came out, seeking help again. He entered a house, was fed, and we saw that he is very sociable, doesn't have a chip, has a bald spot on the right side, linear and thin. Unneutered, long tail, between one and two years old. He's a homebody! We couldn't leave him out again. If anyone recognizes him, please contact: 611 47 30 31 or write to info.protectorasalvanos.com. Important: He will be returned to his owner according to the New Animal Protection Law (Law 7/2023), with an identification chip, neutered, and vaccinated. Negative tests. Prior payment of the veterinary preparation and foster care maintenance costs. We do not have official aid and are few partners to maintain the funding of the animal rescue association. Help us continue our work: Donate 1€ per month with Teaming.

About Silver

What life with Silver looks like

Silver is a young adult cat waiting at Sálvanos Protectora in Spain.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Silver, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Silver?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Sálvanos Protectora handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Silver on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Silver if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Sálvanos Protectora will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Silver already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Silver isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Sálvanos Protectora early rather than rehoming privately; they know Silver and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
