Silver is a beautiful grey-beige cat who was rescued on San Bernabé Street, near Mercadona. When she underwent veterinary tests, she tested positive for feline leukaemia (FeLV). Silver is a shy and reserved cat who still needs time to feel completely safe. However, when approached calmly and respectfully, she allows herself to be petted. She needs a patient family who understands her character and gives her the time she needs to gain confidence. She is sociable and calm with other cats. Cats that test positive for leukaemia, like Silver, can have a good quality of life for years with proper care. The most important thing for them is to live in a stable, stress-free home with good nutrition, regular veterinary check-ups and lots of love. Stress is one of the factors that can most affect their immune system, so a calm environment is essential. Adopting a positive cat is a very special act of love.
