Silver+Leucemia

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Silver is a beautiful grey-beige cat who was rescued on San Bernabé Street, near Mercadona. When she underwent veterinary tests, she tested positive for feline leukaemia (FeLV). Silver is a shy and reserved cat who still needs time to feel completely safe. However, when approached calmly and respectfully, she allows herself to be petted. She needs a patient family who understands her character and gives her the time she needs to gain confidence. She is sociable and calm with other cats. Cats that test positive for leukaemia, like Silver, can have a good quality of life for years with proper care. The most important thing for them is to live in a stable, stress-free home with good nutrition, regular veterinary check-ups and lots of love. Stress is one of the factors that can most affect their immune system, so a calm environment is essential. Adopting a positive cat is a very special act of love. These cats are deeply grateful for the opportunity they are given and form very strong bonds with their families. They deserve the same opportunity as any other cat to experience the safety, warmth of a home and the love of a family. Silver doesn't need pity, she needs an opportunity. A family that can see beyond her diagnosis and discover what a wonderful cat she is. Silver doesn't need pity, she needs a chance. A family that can see beyond her diagnosis and discover what a wonderful cat she is. 💛 Adopt Silver and give her the peaceful, safe and loving home she deserves. 📩 Contact us about adoptions: 📸 Follow us on Instagram:

About Silver+Leucemia

What life with Silver+Leucemia looks like

Silver+Leucemia is a small young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Triple A Marbella in Marbella.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Silver+Leucemia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Silver+Leucemia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Triple A Marbella handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Silver+Leucemia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Silver+Leucemia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Triple A Marbella will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Silver+Leucemia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Silver+Leucemia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Triple A Marbella early rather than rehoming privately; they know Silver+Leucemia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
