Silvi

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Animal Protector: Virginia Georgieva Born: approx. February 2024 Sex: female Location: Bulgaria Neutered: yes FIV test: negative FeLV test: negative Handicaps: none Good with: Children: not known Cats: yes Dogs: not known Requirements: NO single-cat household, indoor only, NO outdoor access. A balcony or terrace is desirable (if present, securing it is required) Silvi's story began for Virginia with a stop she won't soon forget. At the end of June, on her way home, she pulled into a fast-food restaurant along the highway. There she spotted the pretty cat, who was wandering hungrily from table to table, begging for food. That Silvi was heavily pregnant was impossible to miss. Virginia simply could not leave the expectant cat mother behind there, so she took her along on the spot. And it was truly high time! Silvi's labor began during the car ride, and only a few hours later she gave birth to eight tiny kittens. What luck that Silvi didn't have to give birth to her babies by the highway. That Silvi isn't particularly shy around people was already evident during her first meeting with Virginia. At the animal shelter, too, she is a truly sweet and trusting cat who enjoys affection. She especially loves it when Virginia takes time for her and gives her plenty of strokes. Silvi is especially fond of these little cuddle moments. She also gets along well with other cats at the shelter and is friendly toward them. A sweet cat lady who, after all the commotion with her eight babies, is now allowed to be pampered herself. Now that Silvi has raised her babies, everything can finally revolve around her. We wish this lovely cat mother people who will spoil her to their heart's content and shower her with plenty of cuddles. Never again worrying about food or a safe place to sleep, but a beautiful life full of love and security. Our sweet Silvi has more than earned it.

About Silvi

What life with Silvi looks like

Silvi is a large young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Silvi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Silvi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Silvi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Silvi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Silvi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Silvi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Glücksnasen e.V. Tierschutzverein early rather than rehoming privately; they know Silvi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
