adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Simba and Nayla have found their home! Their story: Brave like a lion. Simba, the approximately 4-month-old tomcat, lives up to his name. Despite being found in a very poor state of health on the street, it hasn't deterred him. Now he is a fully healthy and truly brave tomcat who is not afraid of anything or anyone. He is also very friendly and cuddly, in every way a real dream cat. Sweet black-and-white cat dream. Nayla is only 4 months old and has already had to endure a lot in her young life. Before she was found by us, she lived in a department store, but the staff there wanted to kill her. When they hunted Nayla, they injured her leg. Fortunately, she was rescued and treated in time. The wound healed quickly, and now she is back to her cheerful self. Despite her initial skepticism towards strangers, she is now very friendly, lovable, and balanced, looking forward to her forever home. Simba and Nayla met each other in the foster home and have become inseparable. Therefore, we would be delighted to find a shared home for the two big cuddle tigers. The two currently live together with dogs in the foster home. Since Simba and Nayla have adapted to life in an apartment, we do not see them as outdoor cats. They will certainly be happy about a cat-safe netted balcony from which they can survey their new kingdom. The little flat cats can now begin their journey to the new home and are microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. Additionally, they have tested negative for FIV and FeLV and come with an EU pet passport.

Süßer Katzentraum in schwarz-weiß.

About Simba&Nayla

What life with Simba&Nayla looks like

Simba&Nayla is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Simba&Nayla, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Simba&Nayla?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Simba&Nayla on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Simba&Nayla if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Simba&Nayla already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Simba&Nayla isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Simba&Nayla and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
