July, 2024 Simon has become much more courageous in his new care home, and in a peaceful environment he seems to be in better health. She still doesn't quite climb onto her lap for the most part, but still seeks contact, for example by cuddling. She especially likes when someone comes to visit – she quickly adjusts to strangers. He is rather calm and prefers to play on his own. Simon would probably like to be the only animal in the family. December 2023 Simon is a great cat who has had all the treatment we need and is now ready to go home. Simon has hyperthyroidism, which means he receives medication every day. Simon has survived his first youth and would greatly deserve a good and loving home for his other side of life. He is a big widower, always wants to be in the same room with a person and purrs hard. However, he is not a lap cat, rather he would prefer a family where the cat is given his space. He can play independently and entertain himself. Please consider offering her a home. In May 2020, we received word that an injured cat was wandering in Soup Town. He had been sitting there for several days looking for food. The cat was thin and extremely dehydrated. There was a deep wound on the leg from which blood and pus flowed. Since the wound caused the cat pain, he could not walk properly. The finders managed to retrieve the cat and we were able to get him to the clinic and cure him. At the moment, Simon is located in the Tartu Cat Protection Savings Home.

Juuli, 2024 Simon on uues hoiukodus tublisti julgemaks muutunud ja rahulikus keskkonnas tundub ka tervis tal parem olevat. Ta ei roni endiselt enamasti päris sülle, kuid otsib ikkagi kontakti, näiteks kaissu pugedes. Eriti meeldib talle see, kui keegi külla tuleb – võõraste inimestega kohaneb ta kiiresti. Ta on pigem rahulik ja mängida eelistab omaette. Simon tahaks tõenäoliselt olla pere ainus loom. Detsember 2023 Simon on tore kass, kes on saanud meie juures kõik vajaliku ravi ja on nüüd valmis päris-koju minema. Simonil on kilpnäärme alaalitus, mis tähendab, et saab iga päev ravimit. Õnneks on tabletti väga kerge anda. Võid sellest ja elust Simoniga lugeda tema praeguse hoiukodu loos. Simon on esimese nooruse ära elanud ja vääriks väga oma teisele elupoolele head ja armastavat kodu. Ta on suur lesija, tahab alati olla inimesega ühes toas ja nurrub kõvasti. Teda oli nähtud seal juba mitu päeva hulkumas ning süüa otsimas. Kass oli kõhnavõitu ning ülimalt veetustunud. Jala peal oli sügav haav, millest voolas verd ja mäda. Kuna haav tekitas kassile valu, siis ta ei saanud ka korralikult kõndida. Leidjatel õnnestus kass kätte saada ning saime ta kliinikusse toimetada ja terveks ravida. Hetkel asub Simon Tartu Kassikaitse hoiukodus.
