adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Sini has found her people! Her story: Here comes Sini, Yula, and Lenka-Lou, three super sweet sisters, currently housed in a private foster home in Bistrita. They are waiting there for loving people who want to give them their own home. The 4.5-month-old Sini is still a puppy and, accordingly, is curious and playful. With her dark brown to black fur and dark round eyes, she looks very dreamy. So far, she has shown herself to be an attentive and cheerful little female dog. She likes to be held and enjoys when someone engages with her. Playing and cuddling are her favorites. When she grows up, she is expected to be a rather small female dog who will surely fit into family life and bring her people a lot of joy and love. However, the decision to take on a puppy should be well thought out and carefully planned. Raising a little dog who still has a lot to learn and must can sometimes be demanding for the owners, especially when it comes to puberty. This developmental phase is just as important for dogs as it is for humans and requires a lot of patience and understanding from both sides. We therefore wish to find caring people for Sini who bring understanding and take the time to raise her with much love and, if possible, also attend positive dog training classes. This not only strengthens the bond between dog and human but also allows her new experiences and supports her self-confidence. She is vaccinated, microchipped, treated for fleas, and dewormed for travel and is in possession of her own EU pet passport. Who would like to give Sini the security and safety of a beautiful dog life? Many thanks to our namesake Ute, who gave the little Sini her name. As of: 17.09.

Stand: 17.09.2024

About Sini

What life with Sini looks like

Sini is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sini, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sini?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sini on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sini if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sini already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sini isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sini and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
