Adopt Sisi

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten · 2 months

Hi, this is Sisi. I officially declare: I've had enough of looking at the same cat shelter walls. I know everything here. Every corner, every creak, every sound of the bowl. I need new walls. Preferably yours! I'll warn you upfront: at first I'll look at you with some suspicion. I have my theories about people and I don't trust just anyone. But... as soon as you start grooming me, my conspiratorial theories will very quickly... melt away. There's one more thing: I'm really good at entertaining myself. Seriously. I can chase invisible things, stare at the wall like it's the best series, and set up mini hunts for dust mites. The world in my head is definitely very rich, but the only one who can access it is me. You'll only be able to observe the external expressions of my thoughts. I've been sitting here for a very long time and I know way too much about the cat shelter. It's time for a change. I finally want my own little room, my own place, one single person, whom I can observe, check out and... eventually like. Will you help me turn the cat shelter into your home? PS from the aunties: Sisi is spayed, FIV/FeLV tests are negative. We're looking for a home that doesn't go outside, with well-secured windows/balcony, for a patient person who respects her pace of socializing.

Cześć, tu Sisi Oficjalnie oświadczam: mam serdecznie dość patrzenia na te same ściany kociarni. Znam tu wszystko. Każdy kąt, każdy skrzyp, każdy dźwięk miski. Ja potrzebuję nowych ścian. Najlepiej Twoich!

About Sisi

What life with Sisi looks like

Sisi is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sisi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sisi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sisi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sisi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sisi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sisi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sisi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
