adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Skyla has found her home! Her story: The little gentle Goldidame Skyla, a heart on four paws, has lived in her foster family since early April, where she has proven to be a real snuggle cat. She is incredibly clingy and loves being stroked, especially on her belly, lying on her back with a contented expression. Skyla loves people, is a quiet, affectionate, and balanced female dog who immediately captivates with her gentle and friendly nature. Even children are greeted by Skyla with friendliness and cuddles are demanded. But not only her gentle nature is enchanting, but also her appearance. She loves being brushed and now her cute, soft fur comes into its own. On the leash, the little female dog already runs without problems, and she now enjoys walks. In some situations, she can become a little restless, but she can be calmed down and shows how much she trusts her people. In dog encounters with female dogs, her affinity decides. With the only dog, a male dog in the foster family, she gets along excellently. She is balanced, friendly, and shows no aggression or food jealousy. Skyla loves to play in the garden with the only dog or to relax in the sun. She is also allowed to sometimes go to the office with the only dog, and it works out great. Originally, Skyla was found on the street in Romania, Fantanele. After a successful operation where a hernia was removed, she has fully recovered and is ready for her new life. If you are looking for a loyal, affectionate female dog who will enrich your life with a lot of heart and charm, Skyla could be the perfect match for you. Skyla is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. She has an EU pet passport and can be with you at any time. Can the gentle Goldidame Skyla finally arrive with you forever? A big thank you goes to Jule P. You gave Skyla her beautiful name and thus a personal identity. Status: 02.06.

Stand: 02.06.2025

About Skyla

What life with Skyla looks like

Skyla is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Skyla, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Skyla?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Skyla on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Skyla if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Skyla already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Skyla isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Skyla and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
