Smash est arrivé au refuge après avoir été percuté par une voiture. Grièvement blessé, il a dû subir une opération pour réparer les fractures de ses deux fémurs. Aujourd’hui, il est parfaitement rétabli et peut enfin commencer à profiter pleinement de sa nouvelle vie. À son arrivée, Smash était un chat extrêmement craintif et totalement inapprochable. Le monde des humains lui faisait peur et il avait besoin de beaucoup de temps pour se sentir en sécurité. Il a alors rejoint une famille d’accueil, qui lui a permis de découvrir, à son rythme, les petits bonheurs de la vie en famille. Et les progrès sont là ! Smash reste un chat craintif, et sa sociabilisation devra continuer. Il peut également connaître une phase de régression à son arrivée dans son nouveau foyer : il faudra donc lui laisser du temps, de la patience et surtout ne jamais lui forcer le contact. Mais derrière sa réserve se cache un petit cœur curieux, joueur et attachant. Pour son bien-être, Smash aura besoin : 🐱 d’un copain chat avec qui jouer, idéalement un chat adulte, ni trop jeune ni trop âgé ; 🏡 d’un foyer calme et patient, prêt à respecter son rythme ; 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 d’une famille sans enfants de moins de 12 ans ; 🐶 d’une maison sans chien, même petit et calme : leur présence lui fait particulièrement peur ; ❤️ d’une personne ayant déjà de l’expérience avec les chats : Smash ne convient pas comme premier chat. L’accès à l’extérieur est à éviter dans un premier temps, compte tenu de sa grande peur. Il pourra éventuellement être envisagé à terme, uniquement lorsqu’il sera parfaitement à l’aise dans son environnement et avec sa famille. Smash n’est peut-être pas le chat qui viendra immédiatement se blottir dans vos bras. Son adoption demandera du temps, de la compréhension et beaucoup de bienveillance. Mais pour la famille qui saura lui donner cette chance, chaque petit progrès sera une immense victoire. Smash est stérilisé, primo-vacciné, déparasité et identifié par puce électronique.
