Adopt Snickers (m)

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 4 months

The little Snickers was born in February 2026 and has already experienced more than a puppy should in its young age. Together with his two brothers, he was discovered at night by an animal rescuer in a patch of reeds near a tree – simply abandoned, left to fend for himself. The soft cries of the little family broke her heart, and without hesitation, she took the three little ones in. What followed was a period of great uncertainty: Where to take the little ones? How to proceed? Fortunately, Dana from the animal welfare association nearby did not hesitate for long and took the three in. With lots of love, care, and patience, they were brought up. Today, Snickers is a cheerful, lively puppy ready to explore the world. He currently lives in a private animal shelter in Romania (Botoșani) and is now vaccinated. By the end of May, he will be able to travel. We cannot say exactly how big Snickers will grow, but we estimate that he could reach a shoulder height of about 40–45 cm – but that is really a look into the crystal ball. For travel arrangements, Snickers is: equipped with an EU pet passport aged-based not yet neutered. Snickers is now searching for people who can show him what a dog life can be like – with security, love, and safety. People who understand that a puppy needs time, patience, and loving upbringing. Now we hope that the little man can look hopefully to his future – perhaps already soon by your side. Who will give this little fighter a home? Who wants to accompany him on his journey? SNICKERS will be rehomed by Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. – with home check and adoption contract. The association naturally has the §11 (Animal Welfare Act). Even after adoption, we will continue to support you – for both human and animal. SNICKERS will travel safely to Germany and arrive in 91278 Pottenstein, where he will also be picked up. There is a secured premises available. Contact:. Some symptoms here are age-related.

About Snickers (m)

What life with Snickers (m) looks like

Snickers (m) is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. in Nürnberg.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Snickers (m), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Snickers (m)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Snickers (m) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Snickers (m) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Snickers (m) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Snickers (m) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Snickers (m) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
