Snoopy

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 5 years

A heart on four paws is searching for its “forever” home. Snoopy longs to be loved again! Sometimes, the world just isn’t fair. Snoopy, a gorgeous Cockerspaniel mix, was simply left to fend for himself. Completely matted and covered in ticks, this little fellow was found on the street. Who could have done this to him? We don’t know. But his story shouldn’t end here—it’s only just beginning! Although people have let him down, this wonderful male dog has retained his innate trust and his infinitely big heart. This is our heartbreaker, Snoopy: Age: approximately 3 to 5 years (neutered) Weight: approximately 13 kg Character: Incredibly sweet, people-oriented, calm, and cuddly What makes him special: Snoopy walks beautifully on the leash and obediently goes along with everything. You can immediately tell that he once had a home—a home he misses so deeply. When Snoopy looks at a person, it’s with pure trust and confidence. He practically adores “his” people, quickly builds up trust, and just wants to please them. He’s a loyal companion who’d love nothing more than to never leave your side. We’re hoping for Snoopy to find a loving family or someone special who can show him that he’ll never have to worry again—a home where he can finally feel safe and loved, protected forever, and never be given up again. Would you like to bring the sparkle back into Snoopy’s eyes? Then get in touch with us! Snoopy is microchipped, regularly dewormed, fully vaccinated, neutered, and has tested negative for Mediterranean diseases.

About Snoopy

What life with Snoopy looks like

Snoopy is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Pfotenhilfe Antalya in Ansbach.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Snoopy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Snoopy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pfotenhilfe Antalya handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Snoopy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Snoopy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pfotenhilfe Antalya will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Snoopy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Snoopy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pfotenhilfe Antalya early rather than rehoming privately; they know Snoopy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
