Snoopy

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Little Fighter Seeks Big Happiness! Snoopy was born on 2.3.2025 on Crete. His start in life was anything but easy: completely dehydrated and with severely infected eyes, the little treasure was found by a kind animal welfare volunteer, just in the nick of time. Today, thanks to loving care, Snoopy is lively again and full of joy for life. He is enjoying a sheltered life in one of our foster homes in Dresden. Unfortunately, because of his eye infection Snoopy can no longer see much, but that doesn't bother him one bit! He finds his way around the apartment wonderfully, plays exuberantly and enjoys life. A balcony would be a dream, but free-roaming is not possible (at most, secured access to a garden or property). Snoopy is a small, playful boy: his crinkle ball is his absolute favorite toy, and he can play with it for hours. He is social with other cats; only around food does he still show that he once had to fight for survival, and that will surely fade soon. Toward people, Snoopy is incredibly affectionate and cuddly. He loves closeness, actively asks for his cuddle sessions, and gives back a great deal of love in return. He is also very close with his feline companions. He seeks out and needs their company, even though he can sometimes be a bit boisterous. His new home should definitely include open-minded cats who can handle a sometimes clumsy tomcat. Living alone is out of the question for him. He does need a little care: his eyes must be wiped from time to time, and he receives eye drops regularly, which he patiently allows. We are happy to give you tips on caring for visually impaired cats. Perhaps you already have experience with them. Now this brave little ray of sunshine is looking for his forever home, where he will be loved just as he is. Snoopy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and registered with Tasso.

About Snoopy

What life with Snoopy looks like

Snoopy is a large young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Tierschutzverein Leise-Pfoten e.V. in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Snoopy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Snoopy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Leise-Pfoten e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Snoopy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Snoopy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Leise-Pfoten e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Snoopy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Snoopy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Leise-Pfoten e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Snoopy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
