adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Snoppy has found a home! His story: This is Snoppy. A sweet little bundle of fur waiting for his home. Snoppy is currently in a foster home in Romania with his brother Sniffy and his mother Sari. Snoppy is currently around 2.5 months old and still very small. His mother Sari is only about 30 cm tall. Therefore, Snoppy is expected to remain small. The little puppy is playful, friendly, and cheerful. A true little puppy, really. He gets along well with other dogs. Whether he also gets along well with potential feline companions has not yet been tested. The puppy stage is a very important and formative time for little souls. Those who decide to take on a puppy should be aware of the responsibility and upcoming challenges beforehand. Snoppy still has to learn everything. House training, leash manners, etc. The little puppy stands on the verge of an exciting time where he can learn the ABCs of being a dog. Those who are aware of the responsibility and step up to it will be richly rewarded and find a loyal companion in Snoppy. In the future, a visit to a positively working dog training class would certainly be a benefit. Here, not only Snoppy, but also his new family can learn and the bond between dog and human will be strengthened. Snoppy travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated together with his EU home animal passport. Even a foster home can be a great springboard for Snoppy. So, who has already fallen in love with the cute little bundles of joy? Then contact us very gladly. A big thank you goes especially to Marie Sophie! Thanks to you, Snoppy has an identity and the chance for a happy dog life. As of: 05.03.

About Snoppy

What life with Snoppy looks like

Snoppy is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Snoppy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Snoppy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Snoppy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Snoppy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Snoppy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Snoppy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Snoppy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
