Intelligent et volontaire, il aura besoin d'une famille active prête à lui offrir des stimulations mentales et physiques quotidiennes : balades, jeux, ainsi qu'une éducation positive et cohérente pour l'aider à canaliser toute son énergie. C'est un chien qui aime apprendre et qui s'épanouira pleinement s'il est sollicité régulièrement. Sociable avec ses congénères, il s'entend bien avec les autres chiens. En revanche, son tempérament vif et son instinct ne le rendent pas compatible avec les chats ni les volailles. Un foyer sans enfants en bas âge sera préférable, afin de lui offrir un environnement adapté à son dynamisme.
