SOBAO

European Shorthair · Male

I am Sobao, a loving and playful cat with spots that make me unique. They found me in a cat colony, I was very affectionate and sociable. And I'm showing it every day here at the shelter. Every time someone enters the cat door, I meow to get cuddles. I would love to be part of your family and share many special moments together. About SOBAO

What life with SOBAO looks like

SOBAO is a medium-sized adult european shorthair cat waiting at CIMPA Alcalá de Henares in Spain.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee. Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting SOBAO, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about SOBAO?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. CIMPA Alcalá de Henares handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw SOBAO on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt SOBAO if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — CIMPA Alcalá de Henares will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is SOBAO already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if SOBAO isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with CIMPA Alcalá de Henares early rather than rehoming privately; they know SOBAO and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
