SOLARISA

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

Solaris is a young, delicate female dog born in 2022, currently around 4 years old. She is at a great age, with youthful curiosity combined with a mature need for stability and peace. She weighs just about 10 kg, proudly representing a filigree, small and very handy format of a small dog that will fit perfectly in any apartment or house with a secluded garden. Unfortunately, her past has not been kind. Solaris is currently very scared, uncertain and cautious - the shelter's bustle, barking and unfamiliar surroundings make her feel lost. However, there is no trace of aggression or anger in her - it's just the pure fear of a small, helpless creature that needs a safe human support. Due to lack of previous socialization, she still can't walk on a leash - attaching it and taking a walk is a completely new world for her, which she must slowly get to know, step by step, without haste and pressure. The shelter's box is overwhelming for such a sensitive girl - Solaris urgently needs a quiet corner, a soft bed and understanding caregivers, with whom she will shed her fear armor and flourish! Why is unique and subtle Solaris a perfect treasure for you? Excellent relationship with other dogs: Solaris accepts other dogs wonderfully! In the company of a stable, gentle resident dog, she feels much more confident and opens up to the world more quickly, imitating her canine friend. Compact, couch format: Weighing just 10 kg, she is tiny, light and incredibly handy - the perfect size for safely snuggling under a blanket. Pure, helpless gentleness: Zero aggression - her caution is just a quiet call for patience, tenderness and a sense of security. Invaluable gift of trust: Watching a fearful dog gain courage day by day and for the first time timidly wags its tail at your sight is one of the most beautiful experiences in life. We are looking for a peaceful, responsible and empathetic home for Solaris - people who are patient and will give her time to acclimate, calmly learn to walk on a leash and accept her as a full-fledged, beloved member of the family. Give her a safe haven, and this little girl will repay you with the deepest, boundless love for a lifetime!

Genialny stosunek do innych psów: Solarisa wspaniale akceptuje inne czworonogi! Czysta, bezbronna łagodność: Zero agresji – jej ostrożność to wyłącznie ciche wołanie o cierpliwość, czułość i poczucie bezpieczeństwa.

About SOLARISA

What life with SOLARISA looks like

SOLARISA is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting SOLARISA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about SOLARISA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw SOLARISA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt SOLARISA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is SOLARISA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if SOLARISA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know SOLARISA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
