adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Solea has found its own home! Her story: Bistrita, Romania. Solea, a charming female dog around 6 months old, eagerly awaits the chance to share her life with a family. Currently in Bistrita, Romania, despite her initial shyness, she is full of love and joy. Therefore, we are searching for a warm and loving place for our young girl where she can grow into a proud and beautiful female dog. Solea means "sun," and just like the delicate soul, she radiates warmth—she is a lovable sunbeam. This wonderful furred-nosed is a true jewel. Though she may appear a bit reserved at first, she soon conquers every heart with her gentle nature. Solea is not only friendly and affectionate with people, dogs, and children. We cannot yet say anything about her interaction with cats, but her friendly and open nature makes her a perfect companion for every family member. With a delicate, light fur and an expected medium size (approximately 50-55 cm), Solea exudes a natural elegance that brightens any room. She is not only a faithful companion but also a true eye-catcher. The young female dog is looking for her person who will not expect much from her at first and will show her how a normal and safe dog life works. Who knows what future Bistrita might have held for her? Solea is still a very young female dog and must learn according to her age. The dog's first lesson must be taught with a positively reinforcing training style—starting with house training, walking on a leash, sit, stay, come. If you decide to adopt the wonderful female dog, she will come microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. She brings her EU pet passport with her and can be trusted. Who could say "No" to such a look? Solea is looking forward to your inquiry and with a little luck, she can soon move into her new home and grow into a proud and happy female dog. Many thanks, Lena, for naming Solea. Date: 06.05.

Vielen Dank Lena, du hast Solea ihren Namen geschenkt. Stand: 06.05.2024

About Solea

What life with Solea looks like

Solea is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Solea, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Solea?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Solea on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Solea if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Solea already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Solea isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Solea and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
