Sonny, seeking an adopter

Male · Puppy · 6 months

Sonny’s rescuer was out feeding dogs when she heard a puppy screaming. She followed the sounds and found some guys chasing dogs away except one pup who they had trapped in a corner and was being physically attacked by one of the guys….. this was Sonny. Poor little Sonny was then only 6 weeks old, he was screaming and shaking and completely on his own. When his rescuer tried to take him away the guys tried to stop her so she had no choice but to pick up Sonny and put him inside her clothes and run, Sonny was finally safe. Since then Sonny’s life changed… Immediately after rescuing Sonny was taken to a foster and during his stay he was given plenty of love and care, he felt secure and started to enjoy his puppy-hood, his personality blossomed and he became a very loving playful pup. He has been microchipped, vaccinated against Rabies and given his combined vaccines as well as treated for fleas and ticks, dewormed and he has also been neutered. Then when Sonny was around 6 months old Sonny was moved to boarding where he made great friendships and socialised so well with dogs, cats, humans and children. Sonny is still in boarding desperately waiting for his own home where he can cuddle up to his mum and dad and at night get in his own warm bed. If you want a dog who will give you joy, love and plenty of cuddles it’s Sonny, he just needs a chance. Sonny is currently in Egypt but ready to travel to his forever home.

About Sonny, seeking an adopter

What life with Sonny, seeking an adopter looks like

Sonny, seeking an adopter is a medium-sized puppy dog waiting at Miracle in United Kingdom.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sonny, seeking an adopter, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sonny, seeking an adopter?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Miracle handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sonny, seeking an adopter on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sonny, seeking an adopter if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Miracle will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Sonny, seeking an adopter already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sonny, seeking an adopter isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Miracle early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sonny, seeking an adopter and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
