adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! The approximately eight-month-old Soraia is ready for her next great adventure. As a charming pointer-mix, she not only brings a beautiful appearance but also a large portion of intelligence and learnability. Her story began under difficult circumstances: born together with her sisters Herta and Letti on a military base near Zalau in August of the previous year, after her mother was abandoned there. While some of her siblings found homes quickly, the three girls were left alone. As the pressure on site grew, we took the three sisters into our care to pave the way for them into a safe life. In April, Soraia finally began her journey to Germany, where she currently lives in a foster home. In her sister group, Soraia was always the bravest and most self-assured from the start. Even though she shows a typical, gentle reserve towards strangers at first, her curiosity soon wins out. As a pointer-mix, she is an alert young dog who is keenly interested in her environment and wants to be mentally challenged. Soraia actively seeks the company of humans and shows herself to be a very balanced companion who simply wants to belong. Whoever wins her heart will have it with a few treats, because she is always eager to be delighted by snacks. For those on the lookout for a friendly, more quiet, and very lovable companion, she could be the perfect lifelong partner. Thank you, Rita E., with your namesake sponsorship, you have given Soraia the chance at a happy dog life. Status: 07.05. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!

About Soraia

What life with Soraia looks like

Soraia is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Soraia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Soraia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Soraia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Soraia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Soraia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Soraia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Soraia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
