Adopt Soraya

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

Therefore, she is urgently seeking her own home or a foster home. A confident only dog would significantly ease the adjustment for Soraya. The sweet Soraya was rescued by our Spanish partner Cris along with her mother Aby and arrived at our partner shelter in Murcia in December 2023. Soraya is an absolutely lovable and still very shy female dog. Since she was born on the street, she is still very reserved and shy around people. However, she is blossoming more and more and is building trust with humans. She gets along well with her fellow animals, whether male or female dogs. Soraya also already knows living with cats. Walking on a leash is not new to Soraya, and driving in a car is also no problem for the pretty female dog. She is also familiar with life in a house or apartment. For the shy Soraya, we are looking for loving people with the corresponding sense of responsibility who have the time and desire to take her in and provide her with a comfortable spot. A home in the countryside with a garden would be a dream for the shy beauty. People who give Soraya time to settle in and adapt to her needs. A confident only dog would certainly ease the adjustment into a new home for Soraya. Upon arrival, Soraya is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and tested for Mediterranean diseases. Who will show the charming Soraya what a loving home is and give her a warm dog bed in her own Happy Home?

About Soraya

What life with Soraya looks like

Soraya is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Soraya, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Soraya?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Soraya on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Soraya if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Soraya already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Soraya isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Soraya and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
