Sparky is looking for people who are willing to work with him and accept him as he is, not a perfect home. He brings some challenges and needs consistent, experienced training. He likes to learn, but needs clear structures, patience and confident leadership. He is not suitable for beginners. Due to his strong hunting instinct, he should be well secured when outside. Free running is only possible in corresponding secured areas. His future owners should have experience with hunting-motivated dogs and enjoy working together on a safe management and training. He should not play with balls or similar throwing toys as they overly excite him and increase his arousal level. Instead, he benefits from quiet nose work, mental tasks and controlled activity that both mentally and physically exhausts him. Despite his challenges, he is a dog with great potential. With the right people by his side, who give him time, understanding and loving, consistent leadership, he can develop into a loyal and reliable companion.
