Speedy und Gonzales

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

Speedy and Gonzales are two male desert sprinter mice. Like Speedy Gonzales, they are naturally lively little fellows that can reach up to 2 years of age. We only place them as a pair because these animals are social and live in groups. Although they are quite small, the enclosure should be at least 100×50 cm in size. If you need information about their care/husbandry, you can find basic information here.

Frequently asked

Adopting Speedy und Gonzales, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Speedy und Gonzales?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Wilhelmshaven handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Speedy und Gonzales on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Speedy und Gonzales if I live in another country?: Sometimes. Whether a animal can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Tierheim Wilhelmshaven what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Speedy und Gonzales already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: What a animal comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Tierheim Wilhelmshaven directly what is included and what Speedy und Gonzales still needs.
What happens if Speedy und Gonzales isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Wilhelmshaven early rather than rehoming privately; they know Speedy und Gonzales and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
