Name: Spot Gender: male (neutered) Date of birth: 15-04-2013 Spot is a very nice American Staffy who arrived at our facility following a relinquishment. He came with the reputation of being a reactive and difficult to handle dog, but in the shelter he has shown no signs of aggression, rather he has been a balanced and calm dog, but certainly with a strong nature and some shadow areas. He is cautious with strangers. He appreciates contact once he knows you. He does not like deep or unwanted manipulations (including flea treatments and muzzles), and therefore veterinary visits need to be handled appropriately. He is used to the harness, knows the "sit" command, and behaves reasonably well on walks, although he tends to pull quite a lot. Definitely not compatible with cats, and he does not like other dogs (can be tested with females), so he would be ideal for an adoption as an "only child". Spot is really beautiful, and we are sure that anyone interested in him, after a proper course with our trainer and veterinary behaviorist, will discover they have a sweet and reliable companion. He loves going in the car.

Arrivato con la nomea di cane reattivo e difficilmente gestibile, Spot in canile non ha dato nessun segno di aggressività, anzi si è mostrato un cane equilibrato e tranquillo ma sicuramente con un’indole forte ed alcune zone d’ombra. Diffidente con gli estranei. Da chi conosce apprezza il contatto. Non ama in ogni caso manipolazioni troppo profonde o non richieste (fra cui anche antipulci e museruola) e dunque anche le visite veterinarie vanno gestite nel modo più consono. È abituato alla pettorina, conosce il seduto ed in passeggiata si comporta abbastanza bene anche se tende a tirare abbastanza. Assolutamente non compatibile con i gatti, non ama nemmeno i conspecifici (da testare con le femmine) per cui sarebbe ideale per lui un’adozione da “figlio unico”. Spot è davvero bellissimo e siamo sicuri che chiunque sia interessato a lui, dopo un adeguato percorso con la nostra istruttrice e veterinaria comportamentalista, scoprirà di avere accanto un compagno dolce ed affidabile. Ama andare in auto.
