Steinmarderbaby Bärchen

Mixed Breed · Unknown

A young stone marten sought help from a friend of our association three weeks ago, who was on the lookout for the most beautiful nature shots in Franconian Switzerland with her camera. Thank you very much, dear Katja, for taking care of the little rascal and giving him into our care. "Bärchen," as our caregiver lovingly called him, was then nurtured and well cared for. Yesterday we were able to accommodate the cuddly fellow at Wildpark Waldhaus Mehlmeisel, where we were warmly welcomed by all employees/manager. With animal caretaker Daniel, we attempted a reunion with an approximately equally aged female stone marten, who couldn't believe her luck to have suddenly found a partner by her side. Bärchen was a bit overwhelmed by the wild greeting but easily joined in on the adventure. After that, we strolled through the beautifully landscaped and lovingly equipped park and were particularly impressed by the extensive wild bird aviary (conservation reserve) which elicited an enthusiastic Ah and Oh from us at every corner. What a peaceful place where blackbirds, chaffinches, and Co. raise their young in prefabricated nests and houses. 2 turtles 🐢 enjoy their lives by a small pond, the happy flock of birds flutters around your head, and at one point a pair of dwarf quails care for their countless incredibly tiny chicks. We had a wonderful day, got to know very kind people, and were able to give our Bärchen an appropriate and safe life. ❤️-lichen thanks to the great team of Waldhaus Mehlmeisel.

About Steinmarderbaby Bärchen

What life with Steinmarderbaby Bärchen looks like

Steinmarderbaby Bärchen is a small adult mixed breed animal waiting at Tierhilfe Weidenberg in Germany.

Every animal has their own temperament and history. The shelter knows Steinmarderbaby Bärchen far better than any listing can convey — ask about daily routine, ideal household, and what kind of adopter they're hoping for.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Steinmarderbaby Bärchen, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Steinmarderbaby Bärchen?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierhilfe Weidenberg handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Steinmarderbaby Bärchen on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Steinmarderbaby Bärchen if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierhilfe Weidenberg will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Steinmarderbaby Bärchen already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most animals on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Steinmarderbaby Bärchen isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierhilfe Weidenberg early rather than rehoming privately; they know Steinmarderbaby Bärchen and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
