« Stello » est un gros loulou à l’énergie débordante. Comme beaucoup de molosses, il peut monter très vite en excitation mais sait aussi se calmer rapidement auprès d’une personne qui sait l’aiguiller correctement. Stello est un chien d’un naturel joyeux et il est amical avec tout le monde au refuge. Il sait aussi se montrer câlin dans ses moments plus calmes. Stello aura besoin de dépenses physiques et mentales quotidiennes pour s’apaiser et s’épanouir. Même si il a tendance à tirer en laisse, ces sorties seront indispensables pour lui permettre de se défouler, de continuer à se sociabiliser et de canaliser son énergie. En plus de l’apprentissage de la gestion de ses émotions, il faudra également lui réapprendre à rester seul. S’il est laissé seul dans un jardin par exemple, il peut chercher à s’échapper (et croyez-nous il saute très haut). Il faudra donc un espace bien clôturé pour lui. Stello est réactif avec les congénères et les chats. Il ne devra donc pas vivre avec d’autres animaux. L’apprentissage du port de la muselière est en cours. Cela est important car il devra la porter lors des balades pour des rencontres sécurisées pour tous. Pour Stello, il faudra un foyer sans jeunes enfants (peut-être plutôt adolescents) car il peut pincer dans l’excitation. Pour son adoption, nous demanderons à l’adoptant de s’engager à suivre des séances d’éducation auprès d’un éducateur canin après l’adoption pour continuer à le faire progresser sur ses différentes problématiques. Plusieurs visites avec nos éducateurs seront également nécessaires afin de mieux le connaître et d’avoir toutes les informations importantes concernant le travail à poursuivre dans son futur foyer.
