Stormi

Mixed Breed Cat Β· Female Β· Young Β· 2 years

πŸŒͺοΈπŸ’• Meet Stormi β€” a little different, but with a BIG heart! πŸ’•πŸŒͺ️ Beautiful Stormi is an approximately 2-year-old girl who has been through more than any cat should have to. Stormi came into the care of RSPCA Bluebell Ridge from a multi-cat household where cats had been allowed to breed uncontrolled. But despite her difficult start in life, this gorgeous girl has remained incredibly sweet β€” and once she knows you, she absolutely adores a fuss. πŸ₯° Stormi is a very special girl because she has a congenital deformity which has caused a curve in her spine. This means she isn’t quite as mobile as your average cat, and she can become out of breath more easily when she’s playing or exerting herself. Because of this, Stormi is looking for a home that’s been designed with her needs in mind. A secure catio, cat-proof fenced garden, or a large multi-storey indoor home would be ideal, giving her the opportunity to explore and enjoy herself safely without expecting her to roam freely. When Stormi first meets you, she can be nervous and will need someone who is willing to give her the time and patience she needs to settle. But underneath that initial shyness is a real little sweetheart who loves attention once she feels safe. πŸ’— 🏑 Stormi would prefer an adult-only home, or one with older, sensible teenagers who will understand that she needs a little time to find her feet. Stormi may need a little extra consideration, but we know there is someone out there who will look beyond her differences and see the wonderful cat waiting underneath. ❀️ Could you be the person who gives Stormi the safe, loving and understanding home she deserves? About Stormi

What life with Stormi looks like

Stormi is a large young adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at RSPCA Brighton & The Heart of Sussex in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction β€” every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Stormi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Stormi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Brighton & The Heart of Sussex handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Stormi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Stormi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” RSPCA Brighton & The Heart of Sussex will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Stormi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Stormi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Brighton & The Heart of Sussex early rather than rehoming privately; they know Stormi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
