adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Stracciatella can stay forever! His story: A sweet scoop of ice cream that doesn't melt even in summer? Here comes our Stracciatella. Our fluffy Teddy is looking for his own home where he can finally arrive. The handsome male dog is approximately 5 years old, 60 cm tall, and weighs around 35 kg. We assume that Stracciatella is a herding dog and will show corresponding traits when he settles in. We are looking for a rural home with people who are ready to deal with the great traits of these dogs or who already have experience. Stracciatella still needs to learn what it means to be a house pet, as he only knows life on the street and in the kennel. After an appropriate adjustment phase, a visit to a dog training class that works exclusively with positive methods would be highly recommended to play with other furry friends and to learn dog 1×1 with you. This also fosters the bond between dog and human. The male dog is happy for human attention and is always happy to be showered with it. For the wonderful fellow, we are looking for someone loving who can finally give him security and warmth. Once he arrives and finds trust in his people, he will surely become a great travel companion. He gets along well with other animals; currently, he shares a kennel with another male dog, and that works well. He does not know cats and cannot be tested with them. A foster home could also help him start his new life. Stracciatella travels neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated to his new home and is entitled to a positive Naturally, he has an EU pet passport. Do you want to give Stracciatella a life in a loving family? Many thanks! Kristina! Thanks to you, Stracciatella has his wonderful name and thus a chance to find his family. Many thanks, Kristina Z.! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank Kristina Z.! Du unterstützt Stracciatella mit einer monatlichen Patenschaft! About Stracciatella

What life with Stracciatella looks like

Stracciatella is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Stracciatella, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Stracciatella?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Stracciatella on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Stracciatella if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Stracciatella already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Stracciatella isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Stracciatella and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
