adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Strudel has found a home! His story: Strudel and his colorful rattle pack on the hunt for the biggest happiness – a loving home! We are searching for warm-hearted people who have the enthusiasm, necessary patience, and enough time for a little puppy Strudel, Manni, Elvis, Yara, Loelia, Giulia, Kyra, and Tessy: 8 siblings, who were mercilessly left to fend for themselves. In these winter temperatures, it is a deadly sentence for little puppy children to live on the streets. Our animal welfare worker Stefan has now taken the whole pack into his care. There, they can forget their hunger and be safe. Nevertheless, these four-legged friends are missing a cozy home with their very own people who will give them a valued life and where they can feel like they belong forever. The puppy children are only about 2.5 months old and are currently about 25 cm in size; they will grow to be roughly medium-sized. Strudel has soft golden fur with dark streaks on his face. One might think he had a sun visor on while sunbathing, because his little mandala eyes are wonderfully framed. Curious, Strudel extends his white snout into the world and explores his current living space curiously. His siblings invite him to play, and he learns to respect their needs while playing. Strudel longs for cuddly units of love that he rarely gets from the current foster parents because simply there isn't enough time. A puppy like Strudel still has many surprises in his little backpack. Whether he will be a little daredevil or rather more shy as an adult, we still don't know. But the foundling puppies are always grateful for a feeling of security in the midst of their family. For Strudel, there will be a lot to marvel at in his new family. He is still unfamiliar with life in a house and the associated tidiness. Whether it's driving or leash training; there are still many tasks waiting for the little guy. To gently introduce him to these things, his new point of contact needs patience and understanding. Only with you will Strudel become a beloved family dog, recognize his name, and understand that he is part of you. A special task that can become something truly wonderful in small, loving steps. During puppyhood, everything often gets mixed up again. It is amazing what these little rascals remember during this time. But that too will pass, and it can be mastered with the help of dog training classes or good dog trainers, especially when nerves are on edge. With humor and a positive attitude, trust grows, and that forms the basis for a solid, intimate dog-human relationship. Are you the people who want Strudel to be a loyal and grateful companion by your side for his entire dog life? Strudel is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. He was named by you, dear Annekatrin, and thus given an identity. As of 28.12.

Stand: 28.12.2024

About Strudel

What life with Strudel looks like

Strudel is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Strudel, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Strudel?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Strudel on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Strudel if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Strudel already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Strudel isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Strudel and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
