Stuka

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy

Female age: born around September 2024 (estimated date) Size: small (5.9 kg - February 2026) Date of arrival at the shelter: February 2026 Spayed: yes Vaccinated: yes Microchip: yes Compatibility: ok dogs. Ok cats but tends to charge them out of jealousy Personality: shy Evolution: June 14, 2026: Stuka needs to be placed in a family with a dog if possible April 2, 2026: She is quite comfortable at home, she has adapted to other animals, just she has a somewhat dominant character which can sometimes create some small conflicts with one of my female dogs Mahé, but nothing serious. With cats she can be jealous and try to charge them but she still understands when we tell her to leave them. For cleanliness it's not yet there, she must still be afraid of the outside and therefore she regularly does inside. She barks at trucks that pass in front of the house, I think that could be one of the reasons for her fear of the outside. She has already explored the city, she met other people, she was not very comfortable but did not flee. We even took her in a carrier bag to stores where it was not possible to take her on a leash and it went very well. Otherwise, she is a very energetic and clingy Louloute. She still needs some time to be comfortable with other animals and humans. Overall, things are going pretty well, so that's less than two weeks since she arrived at our place Shy upon arrival (February 2026) History: picked up as a stray at the request of the commune of Valea Seaca Contact:

About Stuka

What life with Stuka looks like

Stuka is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Remember Me France in France.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Stuka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Stuka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Remember Me France handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Stuka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Stuka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Remember Me France will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Stuka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Stuka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Remember Me France early rather than rehoming privately; they know Stuka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
